Rules and regulations
- Student's library card is issued for the whole academic year. Students can borrow books after showing their library identity cards.
- The Library is primarily for the use of students, faculty, officers, and non-teaching employees of the College. On special request, Students, Research Scholars and Faculty of other Institutions can also avail the Library facilities for academic purposes with written permission of the Principal of the College.
- To become a member, an applicant must fill out the registration form and submit it through proper channel to the College Librarian.
- Members are privileged to have direct access to book shelves during working hours.
- Member is expected to return the borrowed books on or before the due date. An overdue charge for books is Rs. 1.00 per day.
- Students are allowed to read books in reading room by keeping the library reader card in issue counter.
- Reference books, Journals, Magazines and Newspapers are restricted for issue. They are available to use within the library.
- Users are required to maintain the discipline and decorum in the library.
- Members are advised not to keep cash, mobile phones or other valuables at the property counter.
- While browsing books, no book should be replaced by the user on the stack themselves. Books once picked out from the stack should be left in the reading table if not issued out.
- Students should carefully examine the book issued to them before leaving the library counter, if any damage or mutilation in the book issued to him / her is noticed, it should be reported to the Librarian before taking delivery of the same. Otherwise, the borrower himself/herself shall be responsible for mutilation of the book, if detected afterwards.
- Loss or damage of the reader’s and Library Identity Card must be reported immediately to the librarian. Duplication card may be issued after proper verification.
- The borrower will be responsible for loss or damage of any book borrowed from the college library. If the borrowed book is lost or damaged by any student the same must be replaced by new books by the concerned student.
- Borrowed books cannot be brought into the library unless they must be returned.
- Each final year student must return his/ her library books along with the library card before getting the admit Card of the final.
- The College Librarian reserves the right to recall any book from any library member at any time.
- The authority reserves the right of framing any additional rule as may be necessary from time to time.
